I was a friend, among others, of Mr Shi Bo, the well-known Chinese ufologist (who has been published in 1978 partly thanks to my little help in France), Ignacio Darnaude Rojas-Marcos(Spain), Takao Ikeda (Japan), Valeri Sanarov (Russia), Carlos Clugniac(Argentina), Gordon W.Creighton (FSR) , Richard Hall and John F. Schuessler (MUFON), Lucius Farish, Ray Stanford (USA), Walter Raymond Drake (the writer of gods and spacemen), Salvador Freixedo (Israel, pueblo contacto , and Extraterrestres y creencias religiosas : cuando los ovnis aterrizan, los dogmas vuelan) and Walter Karl Bühler ( the earnest Brazilian ufologist of SBEDV who fled Germany in 1933) many years ago, alas! ( you can write to Ray Stanford, he will surely remember , and even to Nick Pope).
May I tell you about a very recent serious "ufological" publication in France by the late illustrious René Fouéré, for those who can read French and interested, too, by serious astronomy : PHENOMENES SPATIAUX, by René Fouéré, le Courrier du livre 2008 ( 250 euros):
( 5 books, total weight 6 kilogs: http://www.editions-tredaniel.com/phenomenes-spatiaux-p-3598.html ) See a very short work of mine in volume IV, and my modest translation of the Tehran UFO case of 1976 published in "Phénomènes Spatiaux", when a F-4 of Iranian Air Force chases a UFO and had serious electronic problems -note the F-4 pilot, Major ( now General) Parviz Jafari, said at a Washington D.C. press conference on November 12, 2007 , that after trying to fire a missile and failing, they feared for their lives and tried to eject, but the eject button also malfunctioned. I add some moving photographies: (René and Francine Fouéré) ( French ufology's pioneers ) I can add that General Lionel-Max Chassin -GEPA's president , and, moreover, founder of the french review "Forces Aériennes Françaises" was the teacher in air navigation lectures of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in 1929 in Brest , and a prolific writer too, having written on historical military matters and China (Mao-Zedong), very fond of Chinese poetry. Saint-Exupéry had a dream, too, when he judged a civilisation just by seeing how a cripple is treated in it... I am currently still in activity in French DGAC as investigation officer for air traffic control in a French "Bureau d'Enquêtes", "investigation office"( my name is not Fox Mulder, however, but... ) , as you will see from my e-mail, and interested by UFOs since 1962. You may not imagine-even now- the innuendoes when you only mention the UFO problem...I was a very close friend of René (dead on 1990) and Francine Fouéré since...1967. Francine is still alive in Paris , she is born in 1927. I can get in touch with her if you need rapidly more information. You must bear in mind that she has to pay his publisher 30,000 euros for the printing of this set of invaluable books (no more than 500 have been printed, this is a great pity)...The courage and integrity of René and Francine were limitless, they were even fearless in ufological matter just as a Gandhi...Suffice it to say René and Francine have even met in 1965 the physicist who gave France its atomic bombs A and H, Yves Rocard, who received them in his laboratory of ENS (Ecole Normale Supérieure) at Ulm street (near the Pantheon, Paris) as YVES ROCARD WAS GREATLY INTERESTED BY UFOS: they told this to me several times!! They also received once a reply card from ...General de Gaulle, as they have sent their review "Phénomènes Spatiaux" n°9 of September 1966 to the Elysée ( no doubt De Gaulle was a very courteous and fair man ). Alas, Francine lacked time and strength to be able to rediscover it among her huge amount of documents and to publish it in time in the set of books. It is a great, unforgivable shame on France forever to see that Francine had to pay for the printing of such invaluable historical data,and, moreover, for only 500 copies... Yves Rocard made also research on the dowsing enigma.Incidentally, you may have heard that he inspired the famous character of Tryphon Tournesol in the Hergé's comics. I can add I received once a letter of Hergé himself as he read my own UFO book in 1978 ( remember he wrote Flight 714 to Sydney: see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_714 ). I can add, too, that René and Francine were in touch with the well-known writer and atomist Jacques Bergier, born in Odessa, and with a French pioneer in astronautics Alexandre Ananoff who had seen himself a UFO. Georges Langelaan (author of the sci-fi book The Fly, see the film The Fly in USA) himself was in touch with René and Francine and said the UFO subject was a very serious one ( G.Langelaan was a courageous member of the UK secret services during -and after -World War II , being perfectly fluent in French and English ).The well-known French writer and music composer Paul Misraki ( alias Paul Thomas, author of the book les extraterrestres ) was a friend of René and Francine, too, and a GEPA member in contact with the illustrious Dr Olavo Teixeira Fontès in Brazil. I can add that I am a great admirator of the work of Theodor Kaluza, whose formulae recently found an application in the string theory, linked to the discovery of the possibility of the fifth dimension and THE POSSIBLE FUTURE TAMING OF THE GRAVITY FORCE. I have recently corresponded with Daniela Wuensch who sent me his important book devoted to the study of the life of Theodor Kaluza, now published again in Göttingen (see: http://termessos.de/Kaluzahtm ). (J-M Souriau dwells very near my home: see specially page 2.06 end of note 8, note I have made myself one year of French Math'Sup, "maternelle supérieure" -"upper nursery school", or "hypotaupe"as we are accustomed to say, some preparation for "X " , the "Ecole Polytechnique" - nothing to do with... X-Files of course! ) Did you ever hear of the RUWA (Ariel school) Zimbabwe case of 16 september 1994, as quoted by Cynthia Hind, with whom I was in touch : see a work of mine published in UFO Afrinews n°15 from january 1997 , p.21 . On this day,SIXTY-TWO ( 62 ) children -both white and black- from 8 to 12 years saw a flying saucer which landed and beings emerge from it ( see the inquiry of Dr John Mack from USA ) who let them understand WE ARE DESTROYING ALL THE TREES AND THE WHOLE PLANET . Cynthia Hind is alas deceased, as the late Dr John Mack, but I can assure you that both were researchers as nice than honest and courageous. See UFO Afrinews n°11 from february1995 .
